Flowers such as ume blossoms, peach blossoms, magnolias and mimosa already bloomed all at once, we hear even the news of cherry blossoms, though it’s just the beginning of spring. The sense of seasons in the early spring is vague, which is a little eerie… but still the sun shines brightly enough, fluttering delightful season has come!

Well, I went to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for flower research. My first-time flight in Emirates Airline was very comfortable, it’s all desert color inside the plane, night stars twinkling on the ceiling, and in the morning about one hour before (I suppose) arriving at the airport, I hear little birds singing from somewhere which make us up smoothly feeling good and so on, they show various ideas of sincere service from the heart. I was very impressed.

In witnessing a modern city being built so fast with ample petrodollars in the vacant lot of desert, it was the moment when I envied them a bit thinking of the situation of my town that has been taking over 20 years to solve the problem of removal relating to widening streets and still makes very slow progress…

 There are water pipes with desalinated seawater laid in order everywhere in the vast scale of flower bed, which could be mistaken as if a flower expo, and the facilities that sprinkle water perfectly, when you turn the tap on, are completed at the early stage. Cream-colored and red petunias are dynamically in full bloom… Furthermore, after one hour drive from the city, I was deeply moved seeing a sweet little wild flower with small white petals bravely swinging in the wind in the endlessly extended desert with just sand all over.
