2005/4 The sunshine got gentle, trees are
finally coming into bud. It’s still chilly in the morning and evening, spring is
not well advanced yet. However, news of cherry blossoms is coming in, the day
when they tint the Japanese islands light pink is just around the corner. It’s a fluttering season! In this
March, I visited Malaysia and Brunei, lands of everlasting summer, doing
research for flowers. Experience in the different culture of Muslim countries
was very interesting. I will tell you about the trip in class…
We are planning a publication party for a collection of photographs of Sarah
Hanamura’s exhibitions around October. It will be at the Hill Top terrace. Don’t
miss it!

hear that Ms. Akiyama puts a lot of mirrors everywhere in the house after
becoming old to straighten up in her everyday life. Beauty is not built in a
