MESSAGE once a month

October,2001
The scent of kinmokusei (fragrant olive) brought by gentle breeze is only for this time of year. A beautiful season, autumn is here.
By the way, do you know Tasha Tudor? She is an American children's book artist and a fine 86 years old woman now who is still active working on her work enjoying the unchanged traditional lifestyle of 18th century. The Christmas decoration of the show windows on the first floor in Umeda Hankyu that will start on November 16th is about her work of@books, lifestyle and so on. It will be delightful. We Sarah Hanamura are taking part in "Magical Market" the Christmas shops on 8th floor, too. Please come and visit us.

However in order to live, humans have to experience sometimes stupid and wild things along with wise ones. It is impossible that nature is preserved while we have a share in the benefit of civilization. There is absolutely no industry in a land where hotaru (firefly) fly all over fantastically. We have to choose one from them, hotaru or employment. That is life.
